Healing Breath – 24 Hrs

This experiment involves practicing the healing breath intensively for one day for 1 minute every 2 hrs while you are awake, starting with as soon as you wake up. This can help very quickly shift calm scores and may also help with energy and clarity within a single day.

This is a calming breath where you inhale slowly and deeply while expanding the belly, inhaling through the nose, and then exhaling slowly through the mouth while making a gentle ‘haaaaaa’ sound at the back of your throat on the exhale. You can do this sitting or lying down, whatever feels most comfortable and easy.

Make the exhale longer than your inhale but do not force your breath, since forcing it can have the opposite of the calming effect.

How to prepare for your 1-day healing breath mini-intensive! Do you first 1 minute practice as soon as you wake up before getting out of bed. Then, set an alert on your phone or watch to ring or vibrate every 2 hrs. Every 2 hrs pause and do the practice for 60 seconds before resuming your day.
